Winchester Ballet Conservatory promotes music as an integral part of a dancer’s education. The music played during class time provides a basis for learning about time signatures and rhythms. Of equal importance is the universal French vocabulary used to describe ballet steps. We are sensitive to the needs of our students. Having taught in several of Boston’s premier dance institutions for many years, we are acutely aware of the importance of positive challenge and caring encouragement while retaining the highest standards in technique and class decorum.
The discipline, self-confidence, and physical skills attained through the study of dance are attributes which will benefit the student in any endeavor he or she pursues. It is the mission of Winchester Ballet Conservatory to provide excellent training as well as an enjoyable artistic experience in an intensive, supportive, and fulfilling environment. Winchester Ballet Conservatory is pleased to offer the following performance opportunities: - A full-length performance of The Nutcracker - A “Spring Gala” performance - Ms. Avci has also staged productions of Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Cinderella, Coppelia, and Don Quixote. - Guest artists for our performances include members of Boston Dance Company, Boston Ballet, and Boston Conservatory.
Winchester Ballet Conservatory was established to offer the community the opportunity to study the art of classical ballet and related dance disciplines. Proper technical instruction of ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. The grace, poise, and athletic agility gained in the study of pure classical dance gives students the freedom to develop fully in whatever arena they choose.
